The coupling of the Chevrolet LS2 Corvette V8 and the Tremec 6-speed transmission (or 4 speed auto) has made this new “Tin Indian” once again a noble warrior. The Pontiac Tempest V8 GTO arguably was one of the first Pony cars of the 60’s. Pontiac, the famous Ottawa Indian Chief that roamed the old Fort Detroit area 250 years ago, would be proud of how his legend has been carried forward.
