Improved thermostats, pumps, and radiators are fantastic ways to help this problem, but even those just cool down the inside of the engine. To keep the entire engine bay cooler, this active heat extractor hood actually utilizes active air opening to pull the hot air out of the engine bay. By doing this, the hot air in the engine bay is replaced by the cool air coming in through the front, which normally just buffers and leaves. The extractors give the air a means of passing through, and helping your powerful Camaro run cooler and perform better and more efficiently than ever before. Camaro GTZ Hood. Built using sophisticated RTM production, this functional heat extractor hood not only adds an aggressive look, it also releases high pressure air and heat from the engine bay. The hood is a direct bolt on and includes all necessary hardware including grill screen and bezel.
