The SS9 hood, manufactured by ACS’s validated RTM process, features a domed cowl higher than stock and available with a choice of 3 interchangeable hood inserts. Comes standard with the polycarbonate window insert, to show off the engine bay or supercharger underneath. Carbon Fiber and Heat Extractor inserts are also available, to always allow for total Camaro hood customization, even on the fly.

Polycarbonate Window Insert

The Polycarbonate Window Insert for the Camaro SS9 hood is the number one showcar hood you'll find, anywhere. This hood shows off your Camaro engine, and any supercharger you may have attached to it, beautifully. The Polycarbonate window is crystal clear for great viewing, easily cleaned, and extremely durable. Polycarbonate is difficult to scratch or haze, and works just as well for every day driving as it does for the car show. Active Heat Extractor Window Insert

If you want to use the Camaro SS9 hood for both show and track, the active heat extractor hood insert is ideal for your Camaro. With active heat extraction outlets, this hood insert couples the style and durability of the SS9 hood with extra performance benefits that help pull hot air out of your Camaro engine bay and allow the engine to run cooler. For Camaros utilizing superchargers and other, more power-minded aftermarket modifications, these heat extraction points can be key in keeping the engine multiple degrees cooler and, consequently, multiple percentage points more efficient.*NOTE*: Water can enter the engine bay with this hood, and for that reason the Polycarbonate Window or Carbon Fiber Insert are recommended for daily driving usage.

The polycarbonate window insert lets you show off your engine covers or better yet showcase your top mount supercharger. Heat extractor insert will evacuate heat from the engine compartment to improve performance.
