Power. Performance. Volume. Output. Restriction? That last word definitely does not fit when thinking of the C6 Corvette ZR1and its 640HP monster LS9 engine, but is sadly a very real thing. The LS9--already one of the most powerful, feared, and respected pieces of automotive design in the world today--is hampered terribly by restrictive header and exhaust piping. In a supercharged engine such as the LS9, air flow is the name of the game in terms of engine performance efficiency. The stock exhaust and header system restrict air flow, and, ultimately restrict the ZR1 and that's where these American Racing Headers come in.
Manufactured by ARH--who has quickly made a name for themselves as one of the world's premiere header shops--these headers have countless hours of R&D invested in to them to ensure that they're everything the ZR1 needs and deserves. Manufactured from high-quality, aircraft grade stainless steel materials, these headers have the durability and finish that the ZR1 deserves. Couple this high quality production with the wide-open flow of the 1 7/8" header primaries and 3" piping and x-pipe, and you have a header system that will truly roar like the ZR1 should. Comes available with both ARH Hi-Flow cats, and without in an all-offroad application.
A complete tune is always recommended with replacement headers as they tend to change the engine's air flow so much that, without a tune, the vehicle may not optimally perform and may throw codes.
Headers with X-Pipe will go back and bolt-up directly either to the stock axle-back system, or, with any standard fitment aftermarket axle-back exhaust.

Our C6 ZR1 systems are available with choice of 1-7/8" or 2" primaries and your choice of 3" x 3" Catted or non Catted X-pipe systems. Of course, these are manufactured using the highest quality 304 S/S available and require no modifications to install. All systems come standard with merge collectors with scavenger spikes. We also use the highest quality and best flowing metallic substrate catalytic converters available and all systems assemble with Grade 8 hardware and HDS/S band clamps.
