For those Corvette lovers that want to be able to listen to their stereo while driving but still enjoy muscle car sound- the brand new Borla Corvette C6 Z06 Multicore system is the answer. Tuned for the perfect exhaust note and blend of power, the Borla Multicore exhaust is meant to have a more aggressive exhaust note that the OEM system or Borla's Touring exhaust but less aggressive than the Borla S-Type (Stinger). This Mutlicore system is designed to be right in the middle of the exhaust sound meter, not too loud but loud enough to know you are driving a muscle car. Borla took it's cue from one if it's race team customers, which ran Borla's XR-1 Multicore racing mufflers on their Z06 so the drivers could concentrate on driving and clearly hear the pit crew on the radio. 

Borla's R&D team designed this new Cat-back muffler and based on the XR-1's Multicore design. It is mean to be more aggressive than the stock Corvette C6 Z06 system and the Borla touring system but less agressive than the popular Borla Corvette C6 Z06 Stinger system. It produces a very sophistcated sound with an increase in torque.

Some customers asked BORLA to tame down the 3” exhaust, but BORLA didn’t want to loose any of the performance gains they had worked so hard for in the very popular S-type package. How to keep the power while making the sound less aggressive? The answer came from one of our race teams who advised they were running BORLA XR-1 Multi-Core Mufflers on their 800 HP racer in order to concentrate better and hear all the radio. The BORLA R&D lab tried it and found an awesome sophisticated smooth sound with equal power and even a gain in torque (PN 140265).
