Corvette C6 Grand Sport Rear Brembo GT Big Brake Kit

We all want massive HP and acceleration for our Corvette. 0-60 and quarter mile times are a metric every Corvette owner knows and wants to improve on their car. But what about stopping, 60-0? The Stock Z06 brakes are awesome for the street and good on the track, but with moderate track use, the stock Corvette Grand Sport brakes will start to suffer from fade, increased pedal travel, and get a spongy feel. Every other aspect of the car is track ready right off the showroom floor. If you are going to be taking your Grand Sport to the track, upgrading the brakes is a must.

This is a complete Brembo GT Rear Corvette Grand Sport GT Monobloc kit brake kit.

Each Kit comes complete with  

• Brembo calipers with anti-rattle clips
• High performance street/autocross pads by Ferodo are preloaded in the calipers
• Discs are preassembled with a zinc plated, high carbon disc and an aluminum hat
• Floating McLaren hardware, originally designed for the road-going McLaren supercar, is used to secure the hat to the disc
• Brembo designed billet aluminum brackets and hardware
• Goodridge Stainless braided lines

• Please note, some applicatations may require wheel spacers depending upon wheel offset and clearance.

The Brembo GT (Gran Turismo ) line is dedicated to the most demanding customers. This braking system originates from the Racing components, consisting of a ventilated, integral or composite disc, available drilled or slotted, 4, 6 and 8 piston aluminium calipers, a complete set of high performance brake pads, metal braid tubes and high quality small parts.
1. High Performance Friction Material: Aggressive pads that provide the
highest level of performance.
2. Cross-Drilled or Slotted Discs: Clears gasses, cleans pads for better
“bite”.
3. Mounting Brackets and Assembly Hardware: Aircraft quality included
and pre-torqued specifications.
4. Stainless Steel Braided Brake Line: DOT/TÜV approved.
5. “Floating” Disc Mounting System with Billet Aluminium Hat: Reduce “Unsprung Weight” for better handling and reduces heat-related stress; increases brake performance and pedal feel.
6. Four, Six or Eight Piston Cast Aluminium Calipers: Provide maximum braking force without the flex of sliding calipers.
Comparison between floating 2-piece and 1-piece discs The floating disc mounting system, due to the aluminium alloy hat, reduces the “unsprung” weight for better handling and reduces heat-related stress: the mounting system is designed to allow a specific amount of float in both radial and axial directions.

Brembo has engineered special springs that are used on every other fastener in order to slightly preload the assembly. This has been done to prevent excessive noise from the system during street use. The one-piece discs (both for the Sport and GT lines) are specifically designed in the goose-neck area to minimize thermal distortion and thus disc warping under severe use conditions. The one-piece discs provide excellent stopping power ranging from everyday traffic conditions to more spirited high performance driving, and fit into the budget of any enthusiast.
