Note-> In 2012 GM Changed the X pipe design on the Corvette. The Akrapvoic EVO System (comes with X pipe) will NOT fit on the 2012 Corvette. The Akrapovic Corvette Slip On (axle-back system without X pipe) will bolt up without issue. This is is the EVO System and IS NOT compatible with the 2012+ Corvette Z06 and ZR1.

The famous Z06, a high performance version of the actual Corvette, is at the same level with Super sports cars as Porsche GT2, Nissan GT-R, and Lamborghini Gallardo. The big 7.0 l engine, with huge power and gigantic torque, delivers an incredible performance, which will make finding an equal rival on the road really hard. With the Akrapovic aftermarket Slip-On exhaust system, made of titanium or stainless steel, optionally equipped with an exhaust valve remote control, the Z06 will now transform into a pure Beast. Additional HP and torque are a given but the sound will make you feel like you are racing the GT1 Corvette. The four huge 125 mm titanium or carbon fiber tail pipes offer a visual image of what is hiding under the car.
The Akrapovic EVO exhaust system for Z06 - ZR1 was optimized in many ways to meet the requirements of our engineers. The EVO Cat-Back Exhaust system delivers additional power of 13.5 HP and additional torque of 28.2, from mid- to high rpm. The throttle response is much sharper now, which improves agility. However, the most significant change is the sound. Lovers of the pure V8 race engine sound must have an Akrapovic exhaust system. For those who want to take their first steps in tuning the Z06 the Slip-On system (rear mufflers and 4 titanium or carbon fiber tail pipes) is right exhaust. The EVO systems is a complete Catback system from the Catalytic Converters back (leaves the Cats in place).

This exhaust also offers full support for the Corvette Multi-Mode function. Actuators from the stock exhaust will need to be used with the Akrapovic exhaust, but this is an easily done switch. Once installed, the Akrapovic bi-modal functions will be comparable to the stock system, and will also function with Mild to Wild switches, and other bi-modal exhaust devices.

Here is a couple other items that are really popular with customers who purchase the Akrapovic Corvette exhaust.
First is the Billy Boat Corvette C6 Z06 Headers. Headers are not needed at all with the Akrapovic exhaust and with everything OEM and the Akrapovic System you will still be emission friendly and will retain your Cats. If Headers are something you might want, checkout the Billy Boat Z06 Headers are the only Corvette Headers that allow you to use you the Akrpaovic X pipe or stock H pipe without any modiifications. You will lose your catalytic converters as they come off with the stock OEM Headers (all one piece). If you live in an area that does not mandate cats, the B&B headers are the perfect compliment to the Akrapovic system and they are on sale to help make the decision easy.
Another complimental item that goes with the tips of the Akrapovic Exhaust is the APR Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser (see below). Really looks awesome with the Carbon or Titanium Akrapovic tips.
