But if your vehicle is 8, 9 or even 10 years old, or more there's a pretty good chance your seats, especially your driver seat is starting to show its age. The ride is probably not as comfortable as it once was and has probably been declining over time until you know this to this all at once. So if you are on this page looking for a rebuild kit we are willing to bet your seats are long overdue. It is no secret that the seats of the C5 & C6 have a reputation for being less than satisfactory in the area comfort and support. Over the last year or so, a solid repair process has been developed and we want to share it with everyone. We wanted to see how it worked out in my car for a year and can say I feel its 100% better than OEM. There are two problems: The side bolsters from the factory do not have any support under them. So as you climb in/out of the seat, the outside bolster foam tears where it sits on the steel seat frame and quickly sags or goes flat. The steel wires in the center area cut into the foam and quickly cause the foam to sag and pinching around the hip area. I found this extremely uncomfortable after only 15 minutes. This seat rebuild kit comes with all of the seat foam insert pieces necessary to provide the extra support needed to give your Corvette seats a more luxurious feel. If you want to improve the comfort of your Corvette without replacing the stock seats, this simple and affordable kit is a fantastic means by which you can do this.     This brand new Plug-And-Play control module installs under the hood, at the fan connector, and is designed to manually control the PWM coolant fan found on the C6, Z06 and ZR1 Corvette. When the need arises to manually cool the radiator down, this module gives you complete control of the fan with the simple flick of a switch. This kit can be installed in less then one hour, once you decide on where you want to place the control switch. This switch matches the style and look of cockpit switches used on all the C6 Corvettes. Comes with easy to follow installation instructions. Pictures below are of completed installation with optional mounting bracket Installation instructions shown below... The switch wiring can be installed easily, without the need to cut a hole in the firewall. The wiring can be fed thru the upper door jamb, driver or passenger side, and hidden under the weatherstrip door seal into the passenger compartment. The location of the switch can be anywhere desired. First, locate the fan connector on the passenger side, near the bottom of the fan shroud. Unplug the connector and insert the enclosed module into the connection being sure the connectors are fully seated. The module can simply hang there on the connectors. You can now run the switch harness from the module to the passenger compartment location where you want the switch positioned. Start by plugging the round connector into the receptacle in the module. Next, select a location for the switch. You will need to cut a 20mm hole (approximately 11/16”) into the panel you wish to insert the switch. Once you have installed the switch, run the wiring from the harness and insert the three female connectors as shown in the switch wiring detail below. Note RED wire is common, BLACK wire is High, GREEN wire is Low, and RED wire is Common +12V: Once the switch wire connectors are attached, you are ready to go. Keep the switch in the center (O) “NORMAL” position for normal ECU fan control. Press the (I) to manually run the coolant fan on low, or the (II) to manually run it on high. Remember, manual control of the fan will make it run without the key in the ignition so be aware that you might kill your battery if left on for long periods of time. NOTE: There may be a coolant fan code set while the switch is in manual control, which will go away when switched back to normal mode. INSTALLING THE OPTIONAL SWITCHPLATE 1. There are Torx head screws holding on the lower panel directly under the C6 steering wheel. Remove the furthest right hand screw using a Torx T15 driver. 2. Route the fan control wiring to the right hand side of the foot well to the area near the switch plate mounting area. 3. Push the round fan control switch into the switch plate through the front of the plate and rotate the switch to adjust for the appropriate switch orientation. 4. Connect the wires as per the installation instructions. 5. Insert the Torx screw through the bottom of the switch plate and tighten until plate is secure. The hole is oversized so you can move and slightly wedge the switch plate behind the vent as seen inn the picture. This will make the switch plate more rigid. 6. Test the function of the switch and plate. Tighten the screw if necessary to secure the switch plate. Two finger operation of the switch may be necessary using your thumb and index finger. There is also an optional mounting bracket (not needed but makes installation easier)that can be ordered for easy mounting right below the steering wheel (no cutting needed to install). A very simple installation that gives you an OEM appearance when does and complete control over you exhaust butterfly valves. Comes complete with the wiring harness, faceplate and switch already attached to the faceplate. Our new Corvette Z06 exhaust switch plugs right into the exhaust bypass module for a true plug and play installation. You can order it with or without the faceplate (we use the OEM faceplate the is right in front of where your console lid is. Please note the faceplate only is compatible with 2006-2007 Z06's. In 2008 the interior changed so you will need to order without the faceplate and mount the switch somewhere else. Installation takes 10 minutes...Instructions are shown below... I N S T A L L A T I O N I N S T R U C T I O N S 102157 Exhaust Valve Bypass Switch – C6 Corvette Z06This kit is designed to permit instant manual bypass of the two exhaust valve butterfly valves present in the Z06 muffler, giving the driver full control of maximum exhaust flow. The 102157 is a Plug-And-Play design which should take the average person around 20 minutes to install. (NOTE: Kit is also available WITHOUT switch plate, Part Number 102158 intended for those who want to mount the switch in an alternate spot). There are no wires to cut, and no electrical skillsare necessary to install this system, which comes with the console cover plate to replace your OEM part. The switch used has a small logo identifying four exhaust ports. When the switch is pressed to the position of the white dot, the exhaust butterfly valves open and remain on manual override until the switch is returned to the normal position. To Install:Start at the rear of the car at the battery box located inside on the right rear. Remove the battery box cover to expose the battery. Using a 10mm socket wrench, loosen the battery hold-down bracket and slide the battery to the left to access the right side of the compartment. You will see the Bypass Module located on the right side, secured by a strip of body adhesive. Simply grasp the box and pull it out of the compartment, revealing the two connectors. You will then disconnect the smaller of the two connectors (the one with the single wire) by depressing the lock tab and pulling it out of its mating connector in the module. See the illustrations below for details. Run the harness from the rear forward, tucking the harness under the carpeted panels along the right side to hide the wires. Follow the upper edge of the panels to the corner where the gas shock is located, then behind the shock mount to the carpeting panel behind the passenger seat. Tuck the harness behind this panel, again hiding the wire. Route the harness over to the drivers’ side of the console and tuck the harness under the edge of the console, routing the end ofthe harness up to the section of the console where the plate is located.Grasp the lower edge of the plate and pull upward, removing the plate from the console. Fish the wire terminals to that location (notice the sound-deadening foam under the plate). See illustrations below for details. Once the plate is snapped into place, re-insert the module and slide the battery back to its original place. Tighten the hold-down clamp.
